Prof. Bo-Geng Li et al. attend APO2013
Asian Polyolefin Workshops APO 2013 was held in Beijing, China, from 15th through 19th October, 2013. Prof. Bo-Geng Li, dean of the Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering, invited to attend academic committee meeting. Prof. Hong Fan and six Ph.D. students also attended conference. Ph.D. student Song Guo and Ph.D. student Bing Liu gave lectures titled “A novel dual catalysts system for preparing broad/bimodal polyethylene with hard LCB in high MW section” and “Postsynthetic covalent modification of a metal-organic framework for ethylene polymerization” respectively. Meanwhile, the other four Ph.D. students presented their research work in the poster show.
Following the series of Asian Polyolefin Workshops, APO 2005 in Nara of Japan, APO 2007 in Hangzhou of China, APO 2009 in Seoul of Korea and APO 2011 in Bangkok of Thailand, the APO 2013 was held in Beijing, China. Its topics focused on polyolefin multi-disciplinary subjects: Pre-catalysts (heterogeneous and homogeneous) and activators (Alkyl-aluminum reagents and beyond), Polymerization intermediates and mechanism, Characterizations and properties of precise polyolefin, Technical process from bench to commercial scale, New techniques such as computation and parallel reactor, etc.
