Dr. Jun Tian earned both Bachelor and Master degrees in Chemical Engineering in Zhejiang University of Technology and Zhejiang University respectively. After he worked at the Zhejiang University of Technology for 5 years, he moved to the United states in 1999 and earned a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering/Polymer Science from the University of Connecticut in 2004.

He is a polymer scientist currently working with SABIC Innovative Plastics (formerly known as GE Plastics). He leads the analytical problem-solving effort to support development of polycarbonate copolymer products from concept to commercialization, and drive resolution of site customer issue resolution. He serves as a global functional team leader with responsibilities in areas of mechanical, thermal and rheological analysis.  

He is also a frequently invited reviewer in the field of polymer physics for journals such as Polymer, Polymer Engineering and Science, ANTEC.
