The study and development of functional polymer is irreplaceable to expand the application area of polymer. It is one of the most active areas of polymer research, as well as one of the most important development directions of polymer. In addition to the traditional functional polymer, functionalization of general-purpose polymer is more and more held in high regard.

To face the new challenge of polymer industry from international market, and to respond to the strategic requirement of polymer functionalization and intellectualization from our country’s polymer industry, we are actively creating functional polymer materials for transformation and storage of energy, biomedical application, and separation, etc. We are also actively focusing on design, synthesis of environmentally sensitive / intelligent polymer material, and development research of its structure. Deeply exploring its intrinsic mechanism and developing practical application techniques are our goals.
