The controllability of polymer product structures means the controllability of macrostructures and microstructures during the synthesis, modification and processing of polymers. The research interests of State Key Laboratory of Chemical Engineering (Zhejiang University) in controllability of polymer product structures include study on preparation of novel high selective catalysts and their catalytic mechanisms, investigation of the application of high selective catalysts and catalytic systems in stereospecific polymerization and living radical polymerization, development of novel methods of in situ preparation and reactive extrusion for polymer alloys and polymer nanocomposites, on-line detection and control of polymer structures, and the reveal of novel mechanisms and methods for the control of polymer microstructures and condensed structures.
